Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable resources that are naturally replenished on a human timescale. It includes sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. Renewable energy stands in contrast to oil fuels which are being used far more quickly than they are being replenished.

The solar industry still feels very young and new, despite the transformation of solar over the years. Transformation of a Data Center

The traditional data center is constructed with a centralized approach. The main reason to build in a centralizing manner is because this approach is quite cost effective in serving the purposes of a telecommunication network. Today, many traditional data centers are converted to modern IT data centers. The issue with traditional telco data centers is that the power density of each rack is very low, less than 5 kW per rack. Quite often the data center runs out of power before running out of space because traditional IT equipment takes up more space than modern IT equipment.

In contrast, the modern data center mainly accommodates servers, storage disks, and network equipment. The architecture is based on the so-called federal model. The power density of each rack is much higher than the traditional one. For some blade server racks, the power density is as high as 35–45 kW per rack or over six times higher than a typical traditional rack. Subsequently, the approach to data center installation is different. Picture on right indicates different installation approaches between traditional and modern data centers.

Due to this move or transformation, power cabling installation will be also done differently. For the traditional data center, nearly all power cabling installation is a single cord under the raised floor. Today we can have either overhead cabling or raised floor cabling. Each rack has dual cords.
